Is that camp spot #6? Wife and I were there last weekend. Setup at #2 because it was open, then saw that one. Looked awesome but didn't want to pack everything over. Then the torrential downpour ensued... Either way looks like a great time! See you at Slick Rock!!

I think it was #12. We had great weather but it was crowded and lots of bugs. Stoked for slick rock. Should be fun. It will also be the first trip after the trailer rebuild from @JLee

Ahh ok. Haha the weekend before was freezing, wet, and empty after the rain. #6 looked incredible. It was a right turn at the fork by the NF sign in front of the bathroom. Fork deadended at it. Right on the lake, very secluded.

Seeing that Slick Rock is right after 4th July holiday, hoping the trail won't be super busy. Ready to romp either way!!

    Slick Rock 7/8/2016-7/10/2016

The wife and I got off work early Friday and hit the road. We got to camp at sunset and met the guys about a mile into the trail. They had already run the trail Friday with a few issues (body damage, broken cv axle, torn cv boot, broken sway bar, and Blake had been left out on the trail to camp alone for the night since he broke his drive shaft. We set up camp in the dark and enjoyed stories around the fire of the group's tough day on the trail.

The next morning Lisa started making breakfast on the new trailer setup.

I started pulling off a skid plate to remove a sway bar and finding tools for Mike to pull his drive shaft off so we could take it down to Blake who was stuck on the trail.

The group hit the trail around 10am and my wife was behind the wheel of the rig while I hiked, took photos, and spotted.

1st obstacle- The Wall (too high and you tip, too low and you rub the wall)

Then we made it to Blake's campsite

His driveshaft was in rough shape.

The final obstacle- The Staircase. Lisa walked right up.

Another driveshaft broke on the stairs and there was a flat tire, but we all made it through (some with a little tug).

We got back to camp and Lisa started cooking. I grilled a tri-tip while she made mashed potatoes and green beans.

The meal was awesome and the leftovers soon vanished into the crowd.

The sun went down and we sat around the fire discussing the day's trip and the bro F150 that had just driven by camp, headed down the trail.

The morning came quickly and most of the group was packing up to leave. Lisa made breakfast and we enjoyed the view.

Wheeling out of camp on this hard of a trail with the trailer during the day was a blast. The trailer soaked up the bumps and the off-camber spots.

We had an awesome trip and may be headed back soon.

PS: Lisa made it through with no damage

Yeah. I had a blast even though I didn't get to wheel. It was cool to watch my rig do the trail

Talked to a guy in a 4Runner that camped near the staircase. That F150 broke his driveshaft and a lot of other damage and was stuck on trail the rest of the day, he didn't stay to see if it got out. Because of all our damage, his crew didn't run the trail.

    And that tri-tip was amazing!

You do a good job capturing the terrain of the trail in your photos.

    Great Tri Tip!

It was made by @JLee . I believe its just a stove off Amazon minus the legs and he welded to tabs on the door and bolted it on. It works great. It might be alittle to powerful. My wife wants bigger pots & pans to cook with now.

It took Stanley awhile to make the video. It would have been a lot better if 4 people including the camera crew didn't get lost and I had to spend an hour trying to find them or if we didn't try to go to the top of the mountain were it was so Icy you couldn't stand. I literally was crawling around on all fours. Imagine trying to turn 50 vehicles around on that. It took forever.
