From mile one to mile 242,000 I just turned today on my 2005 Tacoma has been a pleasure...but I am starting to look into doing a few things to take her to 300+. Lighting options is one of those topics. I am debating on wet sanding my current headlight lenses or replacing my front headlights. I am more worried about the quality and quantity of light over the aesthetics of how they look. If you have a supplier, brand, helpful hint, experience etc. you are willing to share I am all ears.

    Thanks

Welcome to TW! It is going to be hard to beat the factory optics without dropping some serious coin on retros. I'd suggest sanding and refinishing your current units and then treat them with Meguiar's Headlight Protectant. If you don't the lenses will re-haze as the UZ stabilizer has been removed when you sand them. Otherwise look to OEM or CAPA certified replacements. Many cheaper aftermarket lights will have terrible optics and poor quality, especially the seals if not CAPA certified.

If you want to significantly boost light output from your stock lights, check out what I put together in this thread, costs less than $150.
