My threads keep getting locked and i cannot reply. Need to confirm that to sell my truck cap i need to take it completely off first and then i can post pics here to sell. Then i need to install it back onto my truck in order to transport it for delivery. Is this correct? Doesnt pass the common senae test for a cap to be taken off and then mounted back on to only be taken off again. Thoughts?

If you list the title as FS: then you must have part removed with pictures and price.
If you were to list as FEELER: then you are able to post with pics installed on your truck.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

I posted in this thread earlier- taking a truck cap off the truck just to post pictures when selling it is ridiculous. I sold my truck cap here with it on my truck because there's no way I can/am going to remove it by myself. Plus I had to deliver it 3 hours away so it went right back on.

Why reinstall? For delivery-throw on top and strap it, no?

That is essentially installing a truck cap.. again the difficult task is "throwing" it on..

That's correct. It's the standing rule in the classifieds and it's moronic that it's not at all flexible in cases like this. Ran into the same thing when I was selling my factory tonneau (w/ rail swap)

Thanks! Yeah doesnt make sense in this case but i guess the rules are the rules. Probably need to revise for certain items then.

Why the hell would you need to take the cap off to take photos of it?

Your posts are getting locked (and rightfully so) because you're wasting everyone's time.

    1. Post in the damn classifieds section of the forum.
    2. Post detailed photos and explanations of what you're selling. Every angle, every feature.
    3. Explain, in DETAIL, any blemishes or wear & tear.
    4. Post a price.
    5. Post a location IN THE AD, not your profile. Half the people are browsing on mobile devices and will never see your profile.

    Common sense.

The cap has to be off because according to the "For Sale" rules, you can't try to sell something that's still on the truck. It has to be off, and there needs to be pictures of it off.

I get why the rule is there but I also see why it's an inconvenience in cases like this.

Wouldn't a buyer come and pick it up. Why should you deliver something they want...sorry don't mean to sound like a jerk, just trying to save you some steps :)
