Flag Pole Mount with A.R.E. LSII Bed Cover?

2008 Tacoma DCSB

Not enough

So when I purchased my 2008 DCSB in December it came with an A.R.E. LSII bed cover. I have always wanted to have the ability to have a flag pole mount on my truck, but the bed cover has made it impossible to mount on the bed rails like I've seen many people do before. Additionally, I have found flag pole mounts for the hitch that I would work, however, I would like to be able to drop the tailgate and not have it hit the flagpole. I was wondering if anyone in TW universe has or has seen a solution for mounting a flag pole somewhere else on the truck? Worth mentioning I would not have it on 100% of the time (more for tailgates, camping trips, etc.). I would rather not get rid of the cover, but the thought has definitely crossed my mind. Any thoughts/ideas appreciated!
