Reading through many of the post here I am starting to get the impression that the SR / SR5 models Entune radio, which I will refer to as the 6" screen model has different connectors on the back than the Entune radio on the TRD's / Limited's, which I will refer to as the 7" screen model.

One guy here had purchased the Metra 70-1761 and 71-1761 harnesses for doing a amp / speaker upgrade to his stock head unit and was posting it didn't fit up to his radio on his 2016 TRD OF... Others reply well it fit up to mine, them having a 2016 SR.... After several posting back and forth it was implied that the 7" screen Entune has different jacks on the back than the 6" screen Entune. With the 6" screen will fit the 71-1761 plugs, but the 7" will not.

    https://www.amazon.com/Metra-71-176...e=UTF8&qid=1468603931&sr=8-1&keywords=71-1761

I wish I could remember the thread or member's name but I can't and I can't re-find the posts to reference here.....

Can anybody confirm or deny a difference in the ports on the back of the 2016 6" Screen Entune and the 2016 7" screen Entune. Or confirm that you have used the Metra 71-1761 harness in a 7" screen Entune on a 2016 Tacoma.

He was wrong. As lon as you do not have the JBL option these harnesses will work on either 6 or 7 screens as you put it. I have an off-road with tech and used these. No problemo

You will need the other half of the Metra harness though.

You may want to ask the following seller if he could provide a pic of the back connections:
