I'm looking into some lifts for my 01 tacoma. I'm thinking a 3 in lift with a 3 inch body lift just because I don't do any crazy rock crawling. Montana has some great trails and i just want to be raised a lil higher in the air for clearance. Any suggestions for lifts. I was looking at a front adjustible coilover from toytec and adding a leaf spring in the rear. Putting a polyurethane or aluminum block between the leaft spring and axle seems very weak. any suggestions?

I don't think body lifts are good for any type of offroad use.

im not wanting to go crazy. now im just think toytec coilovers in front and ad a leaf spring in the back. im wanting to stay under a thousand. plus im going to have to spend 600-800 on tires. i already have 16 in wheels

see iam kinda hesitant to buy the toytec coilovers because their basically 5100s useing eibach coils and you can buy those for $300 at www.downsouthmotorsports.com. Using your stock coils they have settings of 0, .85, 1.75, 2.5. I am leaning towards OME little more. I got about 9 months to decide till I pay off the truck I don't want to rush in to anything.

throw some 5100's on there and set them to 2.5" that will give you plenty of room to throw on a bigger set of tires
