I love 9mm! People wanna knock it's lack of "stopping power" and all, but I think it's a good round. I wouldn't wanna get shot by it! Hell I didn't like getting shot by my brother's BB gun when we were kids.

I heard Chabot is still open. They don't have a close date but was told its day to day.

Speaking of guns and places to shoot . . .

Every year, tons of garbage are left by recreational shooters in
un-authorized (but tolerated by EDNF) make-shift shooting 'ranges'.
There are dozens of these sites in the forest, mostly in the MET area.

A few times a year, I participate in an organized cleanup (run by the ElDorado Gun Club).
This is the load we picked up last Thursday at just one site :

Most shooters do the right thing, but many are idiots that bring up trash
( including TV's, computers, propane tanks, .....) to use as targets, and then leave it.
If you know anyone that does this kind of thing, please try to educate them.

Yeah I always pack out (and then some) what I pack in.

I was doing clean ups out at Pine Flatts with the Sonoma County CalGuns.net guys before that got deemed private property.

Shame, now there's like no where to shoot other than Circle S or Cow Mountain or Ukiah Gun Club.

No, the pistol and rifle ranges haven't reopened. They still have the trap/skeet/five-stand open though

Edit: they have a lot of work to do to keep stray rounds from going to adjacent properties, such as the church or whatever up the hill. It's gonna require a lot of engineering and grading

Welp, I said goodbye yesterday to one of the coolest rigs I've owned. She's on her way to her new home in Maryland. Already on my list of "never should have gotten rid if it"

I got that line back in 06 when I was selling my sc 99 taco (my regretful sale). This was before all the internet savvy stuff and I was so confused.

Side note, crazy how tacos have gone up in price. My limited 99 SC'd taco 4x4 with 75k sold for 14k yet now prerunners with no sc sell close to that.

True... Tacos are insane for resale. Hell... Toyotas in general. I just got 13k for the FJ62.

And I had him wire the funds, and wouldn't release the title or vehicle until the $ cleared... It did and I met with the shipper a few days later. I was a little sketched out at first, but once the money hits the bank... I don't care where the truck's going!

I shipped a car to NC in a similar fashion, I released the title to him, then he sent money and once that cleared the truck was shipped. Pretty easy, eBay is the way to go if you're having trouble but know your vehicle is worth the asking price. I was getting sub 10k offers for the truck and ended up getting 17 on eBay!

Word. Yeah it was easier than I expected. I was close to putting it on EBAY, but then I got hit up on Ih8mud. I'm sad to see it go, but also stoked to have a little more room in the driveway!

Chabot will close, barring any last minute law suit, at the end of the year.
