Okay, I have had my truck for a little over two months now. I get a call from a co-worker that they have back into the front of my truck. (There is some honest people with some integrity left).
As you can see the damage is minimal at best. Is it worth fixing it? Yes, the company is going to pay for damage. It is barely noticeable as you can see from the picture until you are up on it. And is this part easily replaced by myself?Truck a.jpg Truck b.jpg

It's a new fairly new truck. If company is paying for it, fix it.
You can do it yourself without too much trouble if you want.

Replaced it with the XSP lower valence. Cause that's what I want to do lol. But I want to have it painted gloss black first.

I'm sure you would have noticed, but it sure was nice of him to own up to it.

New truck. You need to fix it. Props to your coworker for being a decent person. Decent company that will pay for an employees mistake.

Well he was in a company truck. I plan on fixing it. Glad I had not installed my LED bar yet.

    Stuff like this sucks.

Can you just replace the lower valance but and not the whole bumper?
I think the damage is bad enough where it's not fixable 100% without replacement.

That is nice that they told you. Mine got hit last year with temp plates still on it, about 300 miles on the odomenter. Had to have the entire rear bumper and rear-right quarter panel replaced. Hit/Run. Luckily my insurance covered it and I didn't take a hit on my premium.

Definitely get it fixed. If it's just the lower valence, you could just forgo insurance and have him buy you a new lower valence. It's only like $80

That would make me crazy looking at that on a new truck, I would definately get it fixed.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
Any time you can avoid dealing with the insurance company is good. The only problem is, depending on the company (big corporation), they may insist on going through insurance to cover there butts. But I would definitely get it taken care of.

Not a problem. It's probably cheaper because it's not OEM, but I don't think that'll cause any issues. The saved $80 is worth it.

Just be aware that with aftermarkets you sometimes have fittment issues. I bought a good aftermarket bumper cover and fender extensions for my son's GMC ZR2 and they fit horribly. He didn't care, but it was unacceptable to my eye, plus it as a pain to even get it to mount up.

Good to know. Since they are paying I will probably stick with OEM parts.
