So I was thinking of getting the predator pro steps but I see a lot of Tacoma owners selling theirs so is there something wrong with them? Some kind of flaw or guys just think they ugly. Just curious before I pull the plug on some..thanks guys and gals.

    Wrong subforum.

Most are sold because they're usually added onto a truck by a dealership looking to increase profit margins, and not as usually added by the buyers who then immediately sell them.

Most seem to like the appearance of them as steps, but they are not so great offroad which is where TW (as a huge majority) tends to play. For that, they hang down too low and offer no protection. Also, they're easily sold for half of what a dealer charges, so guys who want them will pay 1/2 of what a pair of legit sliders cost, which offer protection when offroad.

Those are the biggest reasons they're not as popular here on this forum. On another forum that is less offroad oriented, like a street truck minded group, they're probably significantly more desirable.

Oh sorry I posted on the wrong subforum..I didn't even notice. I was at the bar waiting on my to go order and I just wasn't thinking straight I guess. But no excuses, I screwed up, I will see if I can delete it and post on the correct subforum. And thanks for your explanation. Appreciate it.
