    Hey Guys,

About a year ago my ABS light had came on and I didn't do anything about it other than figure out what ABS trouble code it was. The code I have on the truck is 34, which is a trouble code for the left rear wheel.

    C0215 / 34*1
    (DI–546)
Left rear wheel speed sensor signal malfunction

I figured the best course of action would be to replace that wheel sensor entirely and see what happens. About a year ago I painted the entire frame to protect against corrosion, and then a couple weeks later after a big rain storm the ABS light came on. I don't honestly think that the two events are related because I was very careful with all the wires when prepping and painting the frame.

What is a decent brand for the wheel sensor? I was looking on ebay and there was some extremely cheap ones, but I also looked at sensors on RockAuto, where the lowest price was $77.

Before I pull the trigger on a new sensor is there anything else that I should check to make sure it is actually the sensor?

    Thanks,

    Tom

Alright so I bought the wheel sensor, put it in, and the light didn't not go off. I checked for tension or if the wires were pinched too, and they were fine. What would be the next logical thing to check?

I also tried to reset the abs using the jumper wire method

I am curious if the ABS is actually still working on your truck or does the CEL and associated code disable the ABS?

From my understanding the abs light being on does disable the system for safety sake. The abs has been off as long as I have had the light on
