Hey from Arkansas and Welcome! Well I can say that I have lived in Arkansas all of my life. I love it here. Hot as hell right now. I do have to say if you like the out doors, you will like it here. I live about 10 minutes north of Little Rock, and there is too much to see and do here. It's a nice little city with a good variety of out door activities. and if you want to get away from the city 30 minutes to an hour in any direction, you will find some beautiful places.

Born and raise in AR. What part are you looking at moving to? The NW area is pretty nice, but the further south and east you go the worst it gets. Humidity is brutal, but cost of living is vveeeerrry low.

Russelville a nice area. I was actually on dardanelle today wakeboarding. If you go up hwy 7 out of russelville you go to Jasper which has amazing camping, floating, rock climbing, etc.

Little rock has some very rough (hood) areas and south or east of there is boring flat farmland.

True about the south east portion of the state. It's pretty much flat farmlands "Delta" it's worth driving through to get to Louisiana. Yes Little Rock has some rough areas, but what metropolitan area doesn't. Russellville is nice, you are in a prime area if you like the outdoors for sure. Mt. Nebo and magazine are also close by! Welcome!

I'd suggest the Mountain Home area. Greers ferry lake and the little red river (TROUT) is nearby. The White river is also not far away (Another trout river). The two big lakes to the north are close as well. Plus the Buffalo is also close by.
