Hi all, Its time to upgrade the suspension on my 04 Taco as the rear leafs are sagging. Ive been thinking on buying a full OME setup with a AAL. I need some help on picking the correct coils for the front, Currently i only have the stock bumper but soon after i get the lift done I will be buying the Trail Gear Bumper. Question is, do i buy the 881 coils as the TG bumper is not that heavy or the 883 for extra weight? I heard to stay away from the 882 due to overextending the shocks.

I have the 881 on my V6 and it rides stiffer than the worn out stocks were. they have not settled much with over 6k miles

if the bumper is not more than 50lbs I would say the 881. you could always get the "lift enhancers" to get an extra 1/2", I took mine out cause it was too much (10mm)

I have 881's on my 04 double cab, they were fine with a stock bumper. They now sag with Trail gear bumper, skid row plate, 9500 winch.

Yeah im guessing i should go for the 881 coils as i don't have plans for a winch yet. If i do buy a winch then i should upgrade to 883's

Ok so it took longer than I thought for the kit to arrive, but I finally got it! And installed!

    881 coils, Dakars, and Nitrochargers
    2.25" lift up front
2.5" lift in rear (the old suspension had 130k miles on it)

Rides great in the corners and on broken asphalt. Haven't been off road yet. Before and after pics

OME 3" lift 881 coils, Dakar's 33" General Grabber AT2's TG low profile front bumper
Ive got the full OME kit too with the aal, looking to get dakars after I fix everything else. I thought it rode pretty stiff when I first got it but its not too bad now, still stiffer than stock but not bad, I might be getting a trail gear front bumper as well and I think it'll sag a bit because even as it is I don't have too much lift in the front and a good amount in the back

I'm running 881s with a heavy plate bumper & 8k winch with rope. Didn't sag much at all.

I just purchased 881's for my yoda that has no weight up front.... hoping to get a smoother ride then the napa brand stock coils I recently bought to go with my 5100's SET AT 1.25".
