The main problem was being locked outside my house. No taco key to acess garage door opener and my house key is on the taco keyring. Rental company was on lunchbreak for another 45 minutes. They ended up giving me the wrong key. Ended up breaking in through tiny unlocked bathroom window. 5 hour ordeal. Yukon has built in homelink. So truly had no acess to my house and tools. Greasy oil sand fellinto my eye. Bad day.

That's what I thought. It was a massive place and they just happened to be doing red that week so it worked out. I think if they just had to load that color for two pieces it would have been more.

Definitely a line shop then. A custom shop you would have likely spent around $150 to have your parts stripped, blasted, and coated. Lucky for you they were doing red, some times you have to wait a month for them to get back around to that color again.

Made some good progress on my bed drawer thingy / sleeping platform. The platform part did not make it into these pictures.

Everything is just sitting there, not completely sanded, glued/screwed together yet, so there is still a fair amount of work to do. Design shamelessly stolen from @forty2

Thank you, sir! I got a 2x4 sheet of 1/4" UHMW this afternoon, and the shop cut it up into 1" strips for me, so I am pretty much good with all the materials, just need to find some Formica scrap. A bit more sanding, maybe a coat of a polyurethane sealant and then I put this thing together in the next day or two. After that all I need to make are the drawers and and the extension, so I could stretch while sleeping.

    Thanks for the awesome design!

I pulled power from the center pin of the fog light relay, combined two wires into one terminal. It is constant 12v power, key on or key off.

    Hope this helps

As previously mentioned, living in a dry climate will slow the seizure of the bolts and bushings. I would suggest doing it anyway. I just had my LCAs cut out yesterday and replaced with used stock LCAs from a member in Cali. Don't be the guy who knew about the problem and then has it bite him in the ass. Use that money toward something productive (like UCAs).

That only works on Trd models with a bed plug. Us sr5 dudes don't have that option :(
