For my age, I'm doing pretty well having a new 3rd gen to begin with, so at home it only shares garage space with my roommates focus since my other roommates have full size trucks ('02 Silverado, '97 F150) that won't fit, as did I when I got to where I live with my Tundra, but now I'm the one that fits in the garage with a mid size :)

I do however have a second vehicle of sorts that I split the cost with my father as a weekender slash long road trip car and it kills the Tacoma speed and MPG wise, just can't go off road in the slightest

It's a simple V6 Convertible Mustang. But it makes 300 HP and 280 ft-lbs and weighs 3,469 lbs. The Tacoma weighs 4,425 lbs and makes less power on both ends. For a V6 'Stang it'll get moving and it corners like a boss.

I'm thinking about grabbing something to have as my own whenever I get a house and have the space. Something like a 2nd gen MX-5 in manual form because I've never owned anything other than autos my whole life and would love to be proficient at it. I can drive a stick if I have too, it just wouldn't be very pretty.

yeah you guys in the warm winters have that luxury of not putting vehicles in a garage. tell that to the warden when its -30F outside and snowing to beat heck up here and see how fast I get thrown out into the snow bank

Winters around here look like this:

But, I live in the country so I've got someplace to push it. Plus the '69 goes into winter storage so that frees one of the garage bays up for the Tacoma, so only the plow truck lives outside year round.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
Not really in the garage, but neither is the Tacoma. Now use this for hauling and towing.

This thread makes me realize that I need to move out of southern California so I can:

    1. Afford a second vehicle to put in my garage.

    2. Afford a place with a garage in the first place.

the funny part, the off road on the 4runner gets the scoop, off road on the Tacoma gets the plain hood.
