15 hands down, can't beat the 4.0. You will enjoy it as much as the 2.7 if not more.

I had a 2011 trdor and now I got a 2016 trdor. Personally I liked some things better on my 2011 and like some things better on my 2016. So my vote is I wish I could have afforded to keep my 2011 along with my 2016.

Thanks guys . Think I am going to have to wait until the 17's get on the lots anyway . Not much to pick from now within a 100 miles of me . Man with the 15 is in no hurry to sell , I ain't in no hurry to buy . Going to enjoy the hunt on my last go around . Been test driving a couple and prolly drive several more too before I'm done . LOL

My question is how many miles do you drive annually?

Drive more, get a 2016 and perhaps save on operating costs. Depreciation cost could be higher because of the"drive it off the lot loss" and the infinite number of 3rd generation Tacos yet to be built.

Drive less? The 2015 could be a great value in a few years when the 2nd generation owners are looking to replace. Keeping the mileage low could keep your depreciation to a minimum.

The more I think about it, I would probably go with the 2015.

I have owned a 2009 Sport, 2013 Sport, a 2015 TRD Pro and now a 2016 Sport. With the exception of the 2013 they have all gotten 20 mpg on average (2013 was mid 20's not sure why or how). Most of all I miss my TRD Pro which was taken from me in an accident. I ended up "settling" for the 2016 when I could not replace my Pro for what the insurance company would pay. I have Had the 16 now for three weeks and can't imagine going back. As you will read in the complaint department it is a bit low on torque compared to the 4.0. Other than that the new interior is much more comfortable mine is loaded the tech package to include JBL (a must have). The front end body work is more pleasing to the eye at least to me however I think the rear of the truck is a bit ugly. It tows my small trailer well, but I would not attempt towing a loaded car trailer or fifth wheel but it should handle your boat just fine. I also live in Colorado and drive into the mountains frequently the 2016 will travel well over the posted speed limit going up some very steep hills.

Thanks again fellas . I and maybe others like me who are far and few between "new " tacos have learned a lot from your experiences with your trucks and how much they have changed over the years .

Its been over 20 years now since a new one for me . My 96 was a great truck and never thought I would get ride of it . To be honest I wanted to give it to my youngest grandson but I needed the cash from its sale .

I asked $7,000 and the first fella who came to look at it gave me $6,800 for it . Kind of tickled him when I wouldn't let him drive it until he paid . LOL . I was honest and told him I ain't about to let anybody test drive it . Had my son take him for a ride . LOL .

A dang good young man bought it and I was glad it was someone like him who did . Didn't want to lift it or anything , just solid transportation . Best dang truck I ever had .

My 96 and these 2016 are nothing alike ! Very nice rigs and I'm getting one soon . When I take the dirt nap the grandsons can fight over it if my son don't claim it , rightfully so too .
