    Hi TW,

A quick post on our #4x4thOfJuly trip over the weekend. We took Coyote Valley Rd up to the flats, a huge beautiful meadow in the eastern Sierras.

I took a ton of 360 video with the little LG 360 camera (got it for free as a promo). Unfortunately, the infrastructure for 360 video is still in its infancy- I can't edit or even trim down the clips into something more comprehensive and interesting. Doing so breaks the 360 metadata. Right now, you can pretty much upload only raw video. So here's one of the shorter clips on the road up and out of Bishop, to the beginning of the meadows.

If a 360 editor app comes out I'll give it another shot to include more. For now, check it out! Use your mouse or WASD keys to move the view around.

Thanks for posting the vid, Tory. I will be headed up there next month. How are the trail conditions- anything look like an issue for a DCLB- did you get any fishing in? Thanks for any tips on the ride, much appreciated!

Trail should be no problem for a stock 4x4 truck, mine is except for tires. Longer wheelbase shouldn't be too different, though there are a few tight switchbacks. Also spent a little time on 3 wheels in some of the lumpier turns. We went in and out of Bishop, I've heard conflicting reports on the Big Pine trail- from what it sounds like I would want skids and sliders before getting in trouble.

I don't fish but my buddies do- brookies were hitting anything dry nearly every time they cast into Baker lake. They also caught some goldens in Hidden lake, which is a short bushwack southeast of the bigger and prettier Baker lake. I'm told Hidden was stocked with goldens because of its isolation. Hidden lake is much lower than its prime waterline, so it's not as pretty.
