    Working on it!
I'll apologize in advance if this has already been answered..

In the process of installing my ICON AALs I managed to strip out the centering pin (due to stupidity). None of the parts store nearby had the pin in stock, and the old pin was to short to reuse. Since I was not able to wait to get a new pin, I went to the local hardware store and got a 10mm bolt with an Allen key head.

So the bolt head is only slightly larger (in diameter and depth) than the centering pin head (that goes into the leaf spring perch) and it is not tapered like the center pin. The new bolt does fit into the hole and the leaf springs sit flush against the perch.

So here is the question... Would you replace the bolt with a new centering pin or leave it as it is?

Side note: Had an alignment done yesterday and everything is within spec front and rear.

    Thanks in advance.

    Too few to list.
I think you should be ok with that bolt. I know the ones they sell at Pepboys are not even grade 8 and they can strip out real easily.

Just so you know Allen head bolts are automatically grade 8 rated. Especially one of that size. That is actually what I am running AZ Center pins on both sides of my leaf springs and I give my truck hell, so you are safe. More than safe.
