    It's all related to the transmission. There's a recent technical service bulletin update for the 3.5 v6 out now at local dealers. However, Toyota has always had lousy cruise control over the years.

    I would disagree with the "always." I had 2 Celicas - an '87 and a '98 - with excellent cruise controls. They kept the speed spot on and used a light touch on the accelerator, unlike the Tacoma's cruise control. I think the problem may be with over reliance on computers that interconnect too many systems.

    I meant Tacomas. My best friend has a 2011 with cruise and he experiences the same problems.
