Do you have to run the URD 7th injector kit or can I get new larger injectors with the new Magnuson 3.4 S/C?? Has anyone gone the larger injector route? Thanks in advance!

I had better results with the 7th injector. It easier to tune, helps cool the intake a little too. The only reason I would run the 6 injectors is if I had egr and couldn't run the 7th injector

Been running the larger supra injectors for years. I agree with TC yota that the 7th is easier to tune since you are only dealing with boost but I'm not a big fan of the FTC anyways and going to swap it out with the AEM FIC.

Absolutely if I was to do it over I would use something besides the FTC, something that doesn't feel like I'm using Windows 95 on AOL dialup haha

One thing I hate about the 7th and these trucks is that they are in closed loop most of the time.

Yep, the setting for the threshold doesn't seem to change anything for me.

From what I was reading on another thread, if you have the 2002-2004 Tacoma then you have the better fuel injectors already, they improved the stock Densos for that model. The 7th injector kit is highly recommended though. On my list of things to do with my s/c as well.

As for plugs, you want to run two steps colder spark plugs with the 3.4l supercharger. Denso Iridiums (#5304) are the ones that were recommended to me on here and by Toyota as well. I bought them last week and am planning on getting them put in soon, I'll report back. Currently running the stock copper Densos and from what I gather, they are no bueno for supercharged 3.4's.

I did notice that when I changed the 7th to come on at 1psi it did help! But I am over 2 in my cells and have seen pretty much no improvement unless I am WOT. I'm usually 12-12.5 AFR unless I'm in 4-5 gear then I am in the 10s

12 is good, you never want to be down in the 10's, that's way to rich

Yeah 10is way rich. But it's kind of un avoidable since 2nd gear is like upper 12 and 4/5 is upper 10s lol. If I put any less fuel than it would be in the 13s early on

It sounds like you are in two different load areas in the fuel map because I am consistent 12's in any gear under boost.

Just a guess since I don't have the 7th setup and haven't seen one to compare to my 6 larger injectors setup.:anonymous:

Hmm...mine gets significantly richer as the gears go up.

Going up on gears normally increases the load-increases the boost. Maybe that is the causing it to to be In richer spot on the fuel map

That is a better way of what I was trying to say.
