Hmm I wonder if I could save money and build some UCA's? Anyone tried this yet/think it would be safe or just buy them? I would love to buy them but can't at the moment but would probably need to do it soon if I end up getting ~3" out of the new lift. Would use this tube (IDK if that is a good price or what or if its under or over kill), (IDK anything about uniballs but that looks like only part of it? what about the part that goes into the spindle?). Would I need anything else besides new bushings?

You're certainly going to need upgraded UCA's with your new lift. My suggestion would be to save the cash for the UCAs and then install your lift. Put what you have on the shelf until you can get some proven uniball UCAs from camburg, TC, Icon, DK, etc. Try your best to build your truck right the first time. In the end it will save you lots of time, money, frustrations, and money. Only my ¢.02. Also consider either replacing or gusseting your spindles. The stock spindle are rather crappy.

This was my concern with redoing my shocks/ lifting another .5-1" was now you need this and that etc. I am a child at heart and like wish as soon as I picked up the new suspension i could put it in right then and there haha. I can at least run the truck on stock UCA's for a month or two though right? I will have to look into the gusseting the spindles never thought about that before.... luckily the taco is becoming my DD and wont see much off roading at the moment until I have my jeep built up and then I can build the truck.

I have some friends trying to start a fab shop up in flag where I go to college. Might talk to them about the gussets, although IDK how much I trust them. At least one of them will take the time to properly measure stuff and is a little slower, the other is faster and a better welder(only on his stuff, quality goes down a little when its yours lol) but he tends to not measure and stuff as much.

That's my plan, I will talk with the alignment guy and ask him how much room is left for alignment after the lift too. I want the UCA's anyways but I need to probably save up and start working on my jeep again :(

Correct. You can go with stock UCAs for a good while. Especially if you're mostly going to be on pavement. Just keep an eye on your alignment. I've seen builds with lifts go 20k plus with stock UCAs because they also rarely see pavement. If you're craving for dirt becomes more aggressive then definitely snatch up some uniball's. I wasnt sure what your intentions were with your build.

True true. Ive heard the discussion go both ways. From articulation to maintenance to which bottoms first? The uca or LCA. Tis why the importance of dialing in the after market suspension.

Well I will always have that craving for dirt! :mudding: At the moment it will just see some light off road like cleghorn, broken arrow, and dirt roads/mud to either dick around, go shooting, or go to a bonfire.
Hahaha i had to take a long break because of that reason
