On my 02 Double cab pre runner I'm running full synthetic 5/20 wt and it's a 7500 mile interval

My street /strip Camaro only sees 100 miles a year and running 50 wt Valvoline race oil and I change the oil once a year

No need, I make long commutes everyday so I'm not prone to that issue.

Change your filter. Then top off your oil.

Back to square one I guess...I only commute 8 miles round trip 5 days a week for the majority of my driving. I was wondering about the shorting distances requiring me to change it out every 6 months because of the things that were mentioned here.

Can you direct me to what page it talks about this? I just see the interval maintenance page of every 5,000 miles and 7,500 miles

I guess this is it. Every 7,500 miles or 6 months with "Genuine Toyota Motor Oil." Is Mobile 1 conventional good enough?

There should be a page where it tells u what rating the oil needs to meet. such as SAE SN, SM or maybe ilsac gf-4 or something like that. Any oil that meets that spec should be good enough.
