Nice. Looks like you got two (-) springs. I got one + and one -. I put the + on the drivers sides assuming it was slightly heavier due to me and gas tank. Was that the right thing to do?

i haven't actually seen these yet. i am still at work. my son sent me the picture. i think it looks like they are both - the picture shows the arrow that points to the front. i think. what i saw online was the + was above spec and the minus was below spec.

@jas5985 were you behind me again this morning on tyvola? I drove the GlamRunner to work today, the side mirror melted off when I got home. Luckily it didn't fall off til I got to the house .

 

Put some gorilla glue in that sucka, lol.

@ajohnson yes! I didn't realize that was you. That thing is awesome. Tough break with the mirror though - at least you would have driven over anyone who was in your blind spot.

 

Thanks dude. I recognize Tacoma lights and waved out out my window before you turned. I have spare mirrors but I can tape this piece back on, lucky it fell off in the grass right when I got home haha.

Hi there, I need a referral on a shop that works on Tacomas. I'm in South Charlotte / Fort Mill SC. Does anyone have a recommendation on a good shop? The Tacoma is running loud and seems to get louder as you slow down. I'm not sure if its the transmission. Its a 2008 with 120k miles.

 

I dont have anyone to recommend.

 

What do you mean loud is it a roaring type noise, a howling type noise? Can you feel anything when it changes gears? Is it 2wd or 4wd? Any change in pitch when decelerating or letting off the gas?

I highly doubt it is a tranny issue on these.
More than likely its gears or something worn like a wheel bearing. Some more info might be helpful to narrow it down. I do not know any tranny shops but there is a Toyota tech shop in Fort Mill.
