Reprogramming/tuning for removing SC? 1st gen

Anyone know if there is any tuning or reprogramming if you remove a SC that doesn't have any the extra goodies (7th injector and such) ???

 

Toyota master tech at my local dealership claims they program the computers for the SC and you can't un program them. I had a friend that worked there and his buddy accidently programmed a truck that didn't have once and the dealership had to buy him a new computer for the truck. He said the truck would run shitty if you removed the SC without changing the computer out....but I'm no expert

 

Do you still have your SC? Wanna sell it?

 

Subbed, curious to know this myself for future reference, just in case.

I know many people have removed their superchargers in the past, someone on here ought to know for sure. Seems ridiculous that you'd have to get an entirely new ECU when going back to N/A, that's the first time I've ever heard of that.
