To all it is sad to say that I am even writing this, but as the consumer I feel that Toyota has thrown their reputation out the window and have know begun their journey down the same path as the American and Korean automakers by passing time bombs to the consumers. CVT's are one of these things consumers that are not educated about are being sold without being educated on how you maintenance a cvt/ you don't you have to replace them. Designing products to wear out on schedule is the automotive standard now with all manufactures so soon it won't matter what we buy. My issue is with the clutch pedal design on my new truck. I resorted to putting two zip ties around the clutch pedal spring to quiet the coils because of the screw you design they have designed. The only reason for this, is for them to get the money you saved by not buying a automatic back out of you later. They also have not put a magnet on the drain plug to act as a filter so Joe blow who never changes it winds up with having to put another tranny. When the automakers were bailed out lots of foreign automakers absorbed American engineers now I know where they are.
