Best place to buy a topper within 150 miles of Denver?

Looking for a topper, went to a local place in Denver yesterday and they seemed really proud of their product. They didn't make me feel like I was getting a deal, more like I was paying extra. I like the Snugtop Rebel and the Leer XR. I have zero issues driving for a decent deal. Any ideas would be awesome. Just for a baseline, I priced a Snug Supersport, Snug Rebel and Leer XL. All came in just under $3k with tip down front, headliner, tracks and keyless lock.

Also, in Colorado, the soft topper dealer is here. I'd personally get a soft topper, things are badass.

 

i used suburban topper on colfax, they were running an ARE deal at the time and saved quite a bit... not sure how often they run specials like that though.

 

A&A toppers is both a Snugtop and Leer dealer. They have a location in Littleton and one on Colfax in Lakewood. I picked up a Snugtop Rebel a couple years ago with side sliders, front removable slider, carpet headliner and yakima tracks for just under 2k out the door. They usually have some kind of special going on.

 

That sounds like what I want to pay. I just got quoted the same exact Rebel for $2875 out the door.

 

Got my SnugTop Rebel from S-Cargo truck caps in Loveland. Bill & Will (father/son) did a nice job installing. I don't know how their prices compare to others. I got the Sportsman's package, sliding windoors and other upgrades so mine was definitely not cheap...but I'm totally happy with it so far.

 

Do you mind me asking what you paid? out the door.

 

I don't have the paperwork with me but it was $2950 + tax, so I think just under $3100.

 

Have you guys found any issues with installing a soft topper during the winter months when it's cold? I'm leaning towards one but if I can't take it off and put it on, or zip open windows on a soft topper that's a deal breaker.

 

That's about what I'm being quoted down in Denver, I've seen quite the spread for pricing... I think I'll probably pull the trigger and do it in the next few weeks. Ugh lol

 

That's where I found mine. But my criteria was less demanding. It just had to fit, not leak, have some way to lock my crap inside.

Paid $1K for an ATC high roof from Cap-It Covers in Fort Collins, who had it on Craigslist because they were trying to clear it out. Doesn't match the color of my truck, topper is gold and my truck is white, but I wasn't about to pay $3K for a danged camper shell. I was set to buy a cheap-o aluminum when this popped up on a search. So wham-bam, done.

FWIW, I've bought stuff from both Suburban and A&A. Never had any issue with either of them. S-Cargo is near me. They seem like nice guys but haven't had the opportunity to buy anything from them.

 

I have a brand new Softtopper for a 2015 DCLB thar I have only used twice....I bought a travel trailer instead of a toy hauler so need the bed of my truck open for my dirtbikes.

If you haven't pulled the trigger yet, call up Autoplex in Longmont. I live really close to AA topper but I got sticker shock from their quote on a Leer XR so I kept shopping around. Autoplex quoted me the same shell for like $450 cheaper...it's at least worth calling them. Longmont isn't that far of a drive to save several hundred dollars. IMO Leer has the best fitment and look for the 2016s so far, so I really wanted to exhaust that option before I went looking at ARE and Snugtop, etc.

Unfortunately I don't have an install report or any pics yet, I just put a deposit down last week.

 

I bought my ATC from suburban toppers (colfax), then traded that shell for another ATC but mid rise shell (which was also bought from suburban toppers) and had to get replacement seals for it, easy to work with during the initial purchase as well as follow up purchases.

 

It got here Wednesday, install on Thursday. I'll post some pics. I bought Aug 1
