I want to head out to the desert for a lil target shooting. Not sure where I am allowed too. I live in West Covina ( 20 miles from L.A) and wouldn't mind driving out to a good spot. Thanks!

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I bet soon the fire bans are going in so if I were you I'd clean up my guns and bed them for the long rest during fire season.

Unless you tolerate indoor shooting ranges, then have at it.

Thanks for reply. Every time I find a place out on the desert , it has a fire band.

When they go in it's usually from as far north as San Luis Obispo, all the way down to the border.

    Usually.

Most people tend to keep their desert spots secret, as well, to keep them from getting flooded. Just a heads up . Also they keep those signs up for two reasons:
    1. Fool people into leaving
    2. Save money putting them in and removing them each year
I believe the California BLM website has the up to date info. Expect the bans to be in place well into next year from here forward. It's a side-stepped way to limit shooting by blaming shooters on fires.

you don't have to go to the desert, go to Lytle creek firing lane , check their website, it is a good place to spend the whole day shooting all your pieces, just don't forget to bring water and food, little cash for entrance fee

    Barstow.

Take the 15 north, exit Hodge Road.

Turn left heading west and you will find some spots there. It's been a few years since we been there, but it's wide open and doesn't cost a thing. We once saw the local cops out there opening up their fully automatic rifles. That was insane.

Hodge road is a great place to shoot. I've been out there plenty of times shooting and have never been hassled. Just clean up after yourself. Make sure you head west and not east. East side of I15 is shotgun only!29uralz.jpg
