Hey guys, I'm new to the forum but a long time viewer. Just thought I'd document my old taco for any interested parties.

A month or so down the line I built a flat bed, happy to tell the tale of that if someone inquires. Pictures don't do it justice imo.

At that time I bought some stock steelies off a Jeep Cherokee. Got all five for $160 and sold my stock tires and the spare and almost broke even. Huge difference between stock 195's

It was getting time to move so I had to put the bed back on and set the flatbed in storage. Figured it was a good time to lift it.
Fat Bobs Garage AAL and spacer combo came out alright. Wish the front was even though. Had to pay someone to install the spacer after failing twice to do it myself.

I also took the bumper off to straighten it out after it being beaten by who knows how many lamp posts by the PO. After fixing it though I realized I kinda like the look without it. Used my license plate mount from the flat bed to hang my plate in the center. Much better departure angle now :turtleride:

Next came the front end. Removed the whole front end practically and painted the grille assembly and those two metal pieces that sit in it. Had to grind those down first and hand sand the grille.
She's all muddy now so it looks bad but it looks awesome after a bath (new apartment doesn't have a hose ).
    Edit: Found some photos

Hopefully a lot more to come! Planning on getting a spindle lift and some new treads but we'll see

If you are into the FB thing, we have an official Facebook group dedicated to 5 lugs, I am the Admin over there. You should join, we'd enjoy seeing your truck as it gets modded along the way.

Im not much into facebook nowadays, mostly instagram; I'll still join the page though. Thanks for checking out my build, I was thinking the flat bed would make a cool trailer but I'm gonna have to wait until I get a house first haha.
Oh and I also have a 2016 Tacoma so you can expect some wheels and tires coming for that bad boy too

    1. Fabtech spindle lift with shocks
    2. 255/70/R16 Toyo Open Country's if I remember correctly
    3. American Racing AR172 rims
If I do this I'll have an extra AAL kit to sell as the fabtech kit includes them
