Does anyone else have a problem with the sun reflecting off the very chrome air vent bezel? I want to pop them off and paint them. Has anyone done this yet? Do they just pop off?

The SR ones are black, so no. Might want to look into swapping with an SR owner? I'm sure some will take you up on it.

No, mine are black as well, but I read a comment the other day where someone was complaining about it reflecting off the back down slope on the hood. I couldn't figure out what he was talking about at the time... low and behold a few hours later I experienced the exact same thing. Was blinding... lol.

It's stupid because the only chrome in the interior is around the air vents and the cup holder by the gear shifter. It doesn't matter what way I'm driving it seems like the sun finds a way to hit it and blind me. I just want to take them out and paint them a color that matches the rest of the trim.

mats, flaps, and stickers. Extang solid fold 2.0. Mobtown sliders and full skids. AVS vents
I noticed it in my off-road. I'll probably take them out and derp them eventually.

I finally figured out how to get the vents out and remove the chrome. The only problem is the way the chrome piece is installed requires breaking the tabs that hold it. I figure I could use some adhesive to put it back together but I'm a little nervous.

Break 'em and then use silicone to put back together... that way it is reversible...!!

Tape the shit out of the piece and paint while still attached. No need to try getting them off and breaking them.
