I've always liked the old Jeep pickups, reminded me of the older Toyota pickups pre-Tacoma days. Always wondered why Jeep abandoned making pickups. Kind of excited as well to see what they bring to the table. From that article, it kind of looks like a Wrangler with a truck bed.

Looks like a wrangler wearing ram bedsides.

Hasn't this been "talk" since like 2004?

If they actually do it I can't wait to see it.

I hope it looks a little better without the crap camo. Not really sure I like how it's wrangler based.

Hopefully the production model has its own unique bedsides. I seriously hope that's just part of the camo.

Can't wait to see the soccer moms lining up to buy this, as it will replace the JKU's reigning mall-crawling status symbol.

The bed on that thing looks goofy. Maybe it is the camo, but it doesn't match the lines of a Wrangler at all. I am very curious to see one though. If Jeep were to make on with a straight 6 and solid front axle, I would probably consider one.

I think a standard cab short bed Jeep Wrangler pickup would be cool. But I don't foresee that happening.

Its a Ram bed on a Jeep. Look at the rear tires in the wells. This doesn't show us anything.

Well it shows that Jeep is taking a jeep-truck more seriously, kinda kills the rumor.

Jeep has built some crazy cool one-off prototypes that require way more work than what is pictured here. Maybe more of a test mule for various drivetrain configurations?

I want excab with a some towing ability. The factory JK 2k limit is a joke.

Im going to hold out til this and the ranger are released before i pick up a tacoma, figure if i dont like the jeep or ranger the 3rd gen will have its quirks worked out by then. The jeep should release without many first year issues since the JL platform will be a year old before they release the truck version. I would assume the ranger will be the same as the one available everywhere else in the world and should already be vetted also. Couple of years and the mid size pick up market is going to be awesome.

Part of the reason I settled on the Tacoma was because I felt it was a lot more Jeeplike/off-road-friendly compared to the Canyon and Colorado. The interior is pretty FJ/Jeep inspired too. The damn Canyon looks like a Soccer Mom interior inside and out.

Jeep has confirmed they're coming out with a truck, so it's not a rumor anymore.
I would seriously consider this as well. I used to have Jeeps but I got a Tacoma for the truck bed
