So yesterday I installed OPT7 led's in my fog lights, high beams and low beams, everything seems to be working fine. Most people here state they have H11's in their fog's, I have Osram H16's in mine, the OPT H11 fit fine in my H16 sockets but I'm just a bit concerned about bulb wattage. The OPT led bulbs are 60 watts and the Osram H16 bulbs are rated at 19 watts. I realize wattage runs different on LED bulbs but just to want to melt any wiring. So is it safe to run the 60 watt LED's in my H16 fogs????? Thanks for the help!!

I've read this several times and can't follow. You went up in wattage from 19 to 60? If you went up, that will be a problem if the wiring isn't sized correctly. Best case scenario: the wiring, connections, and fuse are capable of the increased demand. Medium case scenario: the fuse blows, protecting the wiring as it is designed. Worst case: wiring melts and truck catches fire.
Now, if you went down in wattage: you will be just fine. Good job.

Sorry about the confusion, must be the French blood in me. My stock bulbs in my fog lights were H16 19 watt halogens. I replaced them with OPT7 Flux beam LED which the box says are 60 watts. That is my concern.

Well, have they blown a fuse?
Not sure what the wiring size is on the truck. Basic electricity knowledge shows that when the wattage goes up (think of the item demanding power and 'sucking' it through the wires) the amperage goes up. To carry more amperage, wires have to be larger (or voltage higher, but we're stuck with 12v). Manufacturers would rather put in the smallest wire for the job. Most halogen fogs are 55watts. By installing LED they can run much smaller wires and save pennies per truck across the 10 years of production.
Going bigger is always a risk. Figure out what size fuse is on that circuit and that will help sort this out.
Also, what is the housing made out of? Higher wattage will mean more heat.
