image.jpg image.jpg Here is a few photos of how my 2009 Silver Toyota Tacoma Zhood came out after using Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction System.

If you have not used this system yet you got to try it you will not be disappointed.

Where'd you buy it? Also what kind of polisher are you using? I bought a cheapo $20 polisher at Walmart and it broke halfway through its first wax :(

The Griots Garage 6" DA (dual action) is a nice entry level polisher. Many go for the Porter Cable or Harbor Freight DA's, as well.

What you had for $20 is probably better described as a "wax applicator".

Black and decker polisher, slash grinder since it has interchangable heads. the link is what I bought from Walmart which I wouldn't recommend.

I bought the Meguiers DA Microfiber Correction System on Amazon.

I used the Porter Cable 7424 DA polisher.

Since The Porter Cable is a low power DA Polisher I Did the correction step at a speed of 5 to 6 instead of 4 to 5 which is recommended.

On the Polishing wax step I used a speed of 3 to 4.

When using the Meguiers DA Microfiber correction system you use slow arm speed with lite pressure.

Wach the You Tube videos on how to use this system they are great

    Worked in 2' x2' sections
    3 passes in each section
Left & right & up and down
    Slow arm speed light pressure

    Porter Cable 7424 polisher.

This system is a two step process unless you want to and another coat of wax.

Step 1 of this system goes plata average speed but this is really determined by the condition of your paint and your DA polisher.

My paint was in pretty good condition. I had a little oxidation in the hood scoop area. And two areas with swirl marks.

Since I was using a Porter Cable 7424 which has little power but works great it took me a few extra passes in the areas with the swirls.

Just ordered a Rupes so this will no longer be a issue

Step two of this system goes very fast

I'm assuming the Makita grinder I have now would work for this system?

Have you used a rotary before on a car? If not, then don't start if this is your first time. Get a DA polisher. You run the risk of burning paint with rotary not to mention other defects.

If by rotary you mean grinder, yes, I've been using them to polish cars since 1989, I even use to wet sand Ferraris. What I don't know is if this new Meguires system works best with a DA polisher or if one can use a grinder.

Based upon info at Buff Daddy, yes you can use with a grinder or as the detailing world refers to it a rotary.

If the god father says you can use rotary then I guess you can use rotary. I know the system was designed for DA's but the god father has spoken and you never question the god father. Just make sure you keep the machine moving so you don't burn the paint

I've never burnt paint on a car, not even on the edges. I've been detailing high end cars for years. Just wasn't sure if the system was meant to be used with a DA.
