Got mine done today at Camelback toyota. Printed the PDF and gave it to the service manager. He had no idea and called the tech and they said they will do what they can do. Got a call few hours later and it was done. I was the first truck to do this at that dealer

Called Rock Hill S.C. Toyota, they said just did their first one. Come on down it and make a appointment. It should not take more than an hour.

I had this done today, and it definitely does feel different. For me, I notice the difference in throttle response. Quicker and more direct feeling. Also it seems to hold gears better, not so eager to get into a higher gear. I was very skeptical about this update, as it had specific flaws that it was deaigned to solve. I did have the occasional delayed shifing, so I decided to give this tsb a try. Pleasantly surprised with the additional "feel" of the engine/transmission working better together. Not ecstatic, as I don't believe it DRASTICALLY changes the feel. But, a welcome improvement for sure.

As well, first thing I noticed is much crisper shifting through gears. No hesitation, searching, or jerking, just boom boom boom boom boom boom...Definitly quicker.

When in ECT, also felt much more responsive...I love it!

A few folks reporting no major change in the TSB results thread. Some disappointment. Others are reporting a positive result. Also we will see what happens after tranny finishes learning phase in 800-1200 miles or a month

Nice man, I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw positives changes with the TSB update.

Hi everyone. New here and in the process of buying a 2016 TRD OR. Currently waiting on it to get to the dealership. Is this something I need to have them check before I drive it off the lot or is it more of a drive it a while and see if my truck has this issue? Hope this is the right place to ask this. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for letting us all know about this. I've been on vacation and just checked my vin number and I'm a match. To bad it wasn't the Powerball numbers!! Looks like I'll be going there next week when I get back from traveling with work.

If yours was recently built it may already have the update. I would drive it and see if you have the issues noted. You have something like 80k miles of warranty coverage for this issue (Federal emissions warranty. California is likely longer). It won't hurt anything to drive it without the update.

    Welcome to TW!

How many of you guys that had the TSB done got the STICKER under the hood? I am just wondering if this proves they did something or they just didnt have the sticker since i was the first to have it done at that dealership. The service tech that helped me is off today and the other Techs dont have a clue what i am talking about.

No sticker for me. Which is odd because another member got called by the same dealer just to come in just to get his sticker (Because they forgot, I guess?).

If you have had this T-SB take the time to remove your negative battery terminal for 30/45 mins so the computer can relearn your driving habits I did it yesterday and there is a noticeable difference I'll really test it in the morning as I have a 165 mile commute to my job
