Hey everybody. Just bought my second Tacoma. Loving the hell out of it. From/stationed in Oklahoma. Word of advice..... ask the wife before doing anything crazy, ie: don't go to the dealership to pick up a $100 check and come back with a new truck. She loves the truck, not sure if she loves me at the moment.

It's a 2014, 3" Toyotec lift, Fuel 17" wheels, 285/70R17 trail grappler tires. And just ordered a new antenna since truck barely fits under the car port. First time having a lifted truck, so any idea of parts that should maybe be replaced/re-enforced ahead of time before Factory parts break would be greatly appreciated.

Lol. My antenna drags along the bottom of my garage as well, who builds garages with only 7 feet of clearance???

From what I understand Toytec makes their kits from everyone else's parts. It would be good to find out if the rear was lifted with a AAL or a leaf pack. Nothing wrong with a AAL, I ran my truck with one for about 7 months. If it is a AAL, it will eventually sag. That said, sag is the nature of leaf springs. Even with my Dakar leaf pack the trucks ass sags when I have my tent trailer hooked up but only to the point of the truck being level, which is what I wanted. If the front was lifted using spacers, which it probably was to some degree, save your money and get proper coils. OME seems pretty popular, the 885 coils will give you ~ 2.5" of lift while the 887 coil will give you ~ 3" of lift. The 886 gives you ~ 2.5" but is a 'heavier' coil which people use if they are running plate bumpers/winches etc. the reason I say ditch the spacers is because they have a tendency to fail. Lots of posts on here about just that.

Not sure how up to speed you are on all of this lift stuff but this place is like a never ending encyclopedia.

Try to find out what parts were used to lift your truck, we can better help you with your question of what should be replaced. I'd be curious to know if your alignment is in spec with a 3" lift as most people need UCAs (upper control arms) to get the alignment right.

...on a side note, you may just want your pay checks forwarded to your favorite parts store. :D
