I wish you guys would say how much off msrp and what your msrp was... It's not all that helpful to hear you got so and so price when we don't know msrp. Our what the invoice is.

Dunno how the market is out there, but I got my TRD OR DCSB with Tow AND Tech (no JBL) for just over $35K here in CO.

HEY! I *do* have my paperwork - $35,082 (incl. dealership fee of $499)

That's not a great deal. I bought in Corvallis and paid a grand more but got the premium tech package with jbl as well.

What makes it worse is there's no sales tax there so that's a high price.

That seems a bit high for what I have been seeing in Oregon. I'm not sure which dealer you are working with, but the Toyota dealer in Beaverton has about 20 Tacomas on their lot. Most of them are off road models, too. Maybe they might be more willing to negotiate?

Less than that, $37,828 to be exact - so I got mine for $2,746 under MSRP.

I thought I'd make it easy for the guy from OR, that's where I'm from originally and I understand the whole "what, you guys pay sales tax on that??" thing.

With sales tax ($2,297) and some other small fees I was OTD at $37,482.07 - STILL beating MSRP of the truck alone by $449 - I did OK!

I'm shopping around now for a DCSB 4x4 OR MT in Quicksand.

Options I want are premium/tech and tow, all weather mats, tonneau cover.

This is apparently a spec that Toyota has never produced lol. Well, I'll never find it on a lot. To be expected, my auto needs always seem to be unique for some reason..

This is going to be a special order, and should be a 2017 if I place the order now.

I've sat with a couple different dealers now and they are all expressing how little discount there will be off MSRP. They swear no one in the country is giving Tacomas away at a discount due to popularity and demand.

Of course, reading this thread, I realize there are vehicles being sold at or near invoice.

I am a patient person, so I'll keep looking.

MSRP on a truck with my specs is about 37.2k

    Invoice is closer to 35k.

Met with a salesman on Friday that says they won't know 2017 pricing until this coming Tuesday, so they don't want to place the order until they can tell me any updates prices. They're going to get back to me..

Is 36k OTD a realistic demand for this? The sales manager has told me they will try to come somewhere in the middle between invoice and MSRP for me.

Are you including taxes in your $36K OTD price question or just the cost of the truck?

Yeah tax title and license in the OTD price. Seems like a nice round number. I guess I should do some math, walk back from that 36k number to find out exactly what the truck cost is..

Yeah, while it would be nice to get the truck OTD at that price I think you're going to be disappointed.

True. At 6% tax in MI a 35k vehicle is $2,100. Ouch. Not happening.

Even if they came in "somewhere in the middle between invoice and MSRP" I'm probably looking at more like 38k after TTL.
