I had similar happen to me, but the bird crap was only there for about 15 minutes tops and left a big stain. After a lot of research, I bought meguiars ultimate compound and it took about 30 minutes of elbow grease, but the stain did come out eventually. I hope it can help you too if you haven't tried it!

No bird poo but my rottweiler was in the back and drooled all over the place. It stained my clear also. Nothing some quality beer and buffer time can't fix

I had the same thing happen to me with my 2nd gen Tacoma in MGM. Luckily it was such a small area I just lived with it instead of "cashing in" on the paint protection Plan.

Damn I've had bird shit on my truck for like a week numerous times due to my laziness/kept forgetting to clean it and it didn't leave any blemishes behind.

Sounds like your paint needs a sealant/waxing if it hasn't already been done.

Happened to my black painted Audi roof,it's not just yota paint. Bird shit is highly acidic best preventative is to carry quick detailer with you and hit that shit asap.

Plenty $hit has landed on my truck since it stays out 24/7, no issues.
And I can't for the life of me figure out how smitty99 has skipped this issue on his '16 turd??
Lady luck must be slipping!! lmaoo!
Buy right, buy white, most visible color, most easy to maintain, harder paint, and maybe cheaper insurance rate to boot!

    Hope that helps!
    Cheers!

My stain has been removed, but a small intention in the clear coat is visible only if I get eye level with the hood and look for it, but I'm picky, so I know it's there. I keep good wax like meguiars ultimate paste wax which is a polymer sealer, and no more stains ever since, so I highly recommend using that wax. It's lasted about 2.5 months, and I'm getting ready to clean it up again and reapply wax.

Ya my previous truck was white and you're right its an easier color to maintain compared to metallic paint. Oh well too late now

Wet sand and buff isnt really a bad thing, lots of people do that to take down some clear coat texture. Which is what gives you that orange peel look. my family owns a collision shop and after each car is painted its wet sanded and buffed for a better finish. But its also 1500 grit sand paper then 3000 grit and finished all the way out. We even have people come and and get their whole car done. So hopefully that will take the stain out!
