So... after painting the chrome part of my front grill. Should I now drag it though the rocks/sand so it'll match the rest of the paint on the truck?

And WTF Toyota with the 73 clips holding the chrome piece to the rest of the grill assembly.

So folks who are married or engaged, where did you buy your ring? I went to a Jewelry shop this weekend and almost had anxiety attack from the stress level. I walked away from the sales rep in the middle of the conversation...it was bad.

The Marlin 1895 in .45-70 with some 430 grain boolits for elk loads that I'm developing. Shooting free-standing isn't bad and I can do it all day but I'm trying to control for accuracy as much as possible. Thus from a bench using sandbags pounds the living crap out of the shoulder-meat. About 15 rounds is fine, then the shoulder-meat is bruised and further shots while possible are not accurate due to flinching from pain from the bruised flesh. I have a nice sized bruise from last Friday to show for it. And I don't have any light plinking loads prepared for it either.

Not that I tried to patch it. In fact, I've never tried to patch, on or off road. We always just put the spare on and take it somewhere.

Apparently the year for it. First the guy on Montezuma, then yesterday or the day before SAR posted (14er forum) 'not to worry' about a vehicle 'down the embankment' on Antero, and now this.

Thank you for everyone who responded. I am going to the range, than a pub and making round 2 to the jewelry store. Hopefully my nerves wont be on edge too much since I will not have coffee today.

Do yourself a favor and go to as many jewelry stores as you need to until you find the perfect ring. You're probably gonna have to deal with shitty, high-pressure salesmen but it's totally worth it in the end for a few hours or days worth of hassle. Don't be afraid to just stand up and walk away from a salesmen/store if you don't like how they treat you. I myself went to Shane co, trice, Kay, and helzberg before finding the right ring at Williams. It was a long but rewarding process in the end.

Also depends on who you get. I went to helzburg and had a super nice old lady. Although I already knew the exact ring my wife wanted so I had it easy. Then a few months later me and a buddy went to the same one and the salesman he got was just trying to get more and more expensive even though my buddy told him his budget up front.
