So I had to jump start my 2008 2.7L Tacoma a few times in the last month or so, Once after leaving the key in the ignition over night, another time just sitting listening to the radio for an hour. The last time I jumped it I noticed it struggling to idle and then finally die after maybe 5 minutes. I could jump it again each time with it dying at shorter intervals. I replaced the battery and alternator and it comes close, but does not start. I cleaned the terminals and connections and checked that they were tight several times, any ideas on the issue?

    Thanks in advance

With the new battery and alternator does the engine spin and not start or does it not turn at all?

Why did you replace both the battery and alternator?

the engine does spin. I initially thought it was the alternator then had the battery tested and replaced.

Was the alternator tested? What was wrong with the battery?

Maybe check the wire terminals and connections for corrosion.
    Also check your ground connections.
