Hot! 95 + with no shade. The worst weekend to go because there wasn't any wind, but wasn't missing out on my first trip in with the setup. Will be going back when it's windy again!

Location is called Prewitt Ridge and is free primitive camping with lots of campsites, which is nice considering every campsite in Big Sur is reserved months and months in advance.

The Taco pulled the little Jayco 195rb from Phoenix 1100' to Hawley Lake 8200' without issue. Interesting weather this week. It was a dusty 82 degrees upon arrival and about an hour later it was 48 degrees and so much hail on the ground it looked like snow. Gotta love monsoon season!! At least the hail storms were a good excuse to take a break from fishing and make a cocktail

Hail destroyed my buddy's Arizona State easy up LOL

Outside of Breckenridge. Glad I removed the air damn to make it up there. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the mud flaps... Which don't really "flap" when they hit a rock or two.image.jpg

You just have to show off don't you... What is that, $700 worth of coolers you have there? I'm almost to the point of breaking down and buying a Yeti.

That is because they are "Mud Guards" not mud flaps.

Pardon my ignorance, what are you guys using for GPS systems other than google maps on your phones? Looking to get something that can work with or without cell service for times when I'm not on the beaten path.

    Thanks!!

I have been toying with the idea of setting up my tablet with Backcountry Navigator. Not sure if I want to mount something that big yet.

I typically have USGS topo's and my compass as well. The GPS is a nice to have, but the compass and maps are a must have in my book.
