Tried searching the forum without success.

I want to get some magnet or suction mounted flood lights to go on my roof to use when I go to my hunting camp about 10 times a year. But I want to be able to toggle them on/off from inside the cab. How's a good way to do this?

One idea I have is to install a switch inside my cab and an extra "post" or something in the engine room that the cab switch will control. That way, I can connect my temporary lights to that new electric post and control the power from inside my cab.

What do you think? Is there an easier way to accomplish the same thing? I don't even know how magnetic flood lights work...do they hook to the battery like I'm assuming?

You know they make wireless remote switches right? Just run a positive and negative wire with a waterproof plug to wherever you want it then plug in the lights when you need them.

No, but thanks. I'll research that.
