Sure, its pretty simple. This is a stand alone battery so I plan to plug the fridge into my truck anytime I have the engine on and driving. This will be used anytime the truck is off or if I decide to put the fridge in a bear box (Yosemite is a good example) and I can still power it as well as charge other usb powered things.

    1. Battery Box (Walmart $9): http://www.walmart.com/ip/Snap-Top-Everstart-Marine-Battery-Box/16781380
    2. Battery (Walmart $82): http://www.walmart.com/ip/EverStart-27DC-6-Marine-Battery/16795212
    3. Inline Fuse (O'rileys Auto Parts Store Local ~$4): https://smile.amazon.com/Ninth-City...2-catcorr&keywords=12v+inline+fuse+with+cover
    4. Simple Switch with LED (O'rileys Auto Parts Store Local ~$4 but similar to this): https://smile.amazon.com/NTE--None-...468867985&sr=1-4&keywords=12v+switch+with+led
    5. USB / 12v Outlet / Voltmeter (Amazon $12.25 on prime, looks like its no longer available with prime): https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WLFU7QY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    6. 10ga wire I already had laying around and 3/8" ring terminals.

    Total cost: ~$112

    Some things to note:
    • I already have a trickle charger that I was going to use (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Stanley-FatMax-8A-Battery-Charger-Bonus-Extension-Cord-Bundle/38243757). I plan to charge the battery the day or so before any trips and I would plug the fridge into a wall outlet to get it down to temperature as well prior to leaving for a trip.
    • I originally wanted to get the biggest battery I could get while staying on the inexpensive side. I was actually trying to get the size 31 of the same battery I bought as it was only $5 more at $86 but the local walmart didn't have it in stock.
    • Eventually I'll be installing a second battery in the truck and wont need this setup so I didn't want to spend too much money on this box. I may end up decreasing the life of this battery if I keep discharging it lower than 50% but I'm ok with that for now.

The actual electrical is pretty straight forward. Positive from the battery to a inline fuse and then to the voltmeter + 12v outlet + 12v usb. On the negative post of the battery, wire it to a switch then to the negative sides of the voltmeter + 12v outlet + 12v usb.

Let me know if you guys have questions.

Yep, I ordered a TF-41 on Sunday morning, used the posted code "TACOMA". The order page didn't show the discounts - or - free shipping, but the receipt I received the next day was spot on the money.

Not to worry, I received a receipt on Monday morning for the discounted price and no shipping charges. FedEx shows a delivery for tomorrow.

I can't find much info on this, but do these need to be under a cap/inside the truck? Could it be run in the bed but under a bedrack/RTT?

I personally agree with the comments on that link, I wouldnt feel comfortable spending all this money and trashing it like that.. worse case, you can get a cover for it and cross fingers if youre going to run it under the bedrack

Thanks for the link! That's the way I've been leaning (keeping it out of the elements), just need to figure out space for that + the dog at some point.

Just a few expensive & DIY things...

I did the damn near exact same thing, and used it on 3 week roundtrip from Atlanta to the Southwest, worked well.
I havnet made a write up, yours is the same I setup before our trip.

Thanks for the props, for those wondering this cover works very well, albeit very snug in most parts, but no negatives really.

Yes, with a cover of course and I'd stay away from downpours and wicked humid heat [ask me how I know].
But realize your battery, either dual setup [what we have] or starter [not recommend] will take the hit with it's charge to maintain it's power setting.

Nice. Finally getting to use the setup this weekend for a quick little 3 day trip. Were you charging your battery pack during that 3 week period?

Just with the stock alternator via the IBS dual battery system.
thanks to the group buy a few months ago

I had it set to Eco mode and in low and it worked really well. Dipped to maybe 12.4 or so.
The temps out west were stellar so it didnt have to work too hard.
Got back to ATL and holy fking humidity and a dark shell and the battery dropped to a wicked low voltage [<12v] set on High with just a few beers and water. [not recommended

Look what FedEx left on my storage trunk.

Right now, it's sitting upright for 24 hours. I'll give it a 12 hour trial run off a battery tomorrow evening.

    Indel TB-41A Test Run

Gave the Indel TB-41A a 12 hour and then a full 24 hour test over the weekend.

    IndelTF41A2.jpg

From a topped off 60 Ah battery, the temp set to 34°F @ a 75°F ambient temp:

12.7 volts after 12 hours using the Eco mode.

12.4 volts after 24 hours using the Eco mode.

Question: do you need the mount bracket to attach to the slide? Or does the fridge attach directly to the slide?

TB Slide: MSRP- $249, your price…$186.75!
TB Mount Bracket: MSRP $45, your price…$33.75!

Ill be using the TB Mount Bracket on a plywood platform mount behind the driver's seat. It's purpose is to keep the fridge from sliding around.

The fridge will mount to the slide without the mounting bracket. It uses straps to mount to the slide
