    UPDATE

Official trailer weight, #460, that was minus the HDPE for the sides and the plywood floor. But that wont be more than 40 or so more pounds, so we can call it a #500 trailer.

I got the RTT mounted permanently last night, as well as my Foxwing Awning. Both are from Odin Designs in Colorado. I came by the Foxwing by some trade work I did with the owner, he needed his M416 trailer repaired after loaning it out to someone. Since I'm not one to turn down trade work I took him up on the offer.

And of course the wife wanted to see the Foxwing opened up, which just barely happened since the trailer was in the garage at the moment. (dont mind my belly)

HDPE is scheduled to be delivered today, so hopefully I will get all or most of that installed tonight and its ready to go :curls:

So a rather quick update for everyone (Been busy doing a kitchen remodel)

I got my sheet of HDPE and began mounting it, the picture does not show it but the sides are done as well. Only parts I left off are the pieces on the very back, about 8 inches or so. I need to figure out what I want to do as far as a tailgate is concerned. AND I had a plan of camping last weekend but the rain gods thought other wise, I'm all about the elements but constant rain for 3 days just does not scream fun to me. Either way, onto the one picture I have for you all who have graciously subscribed :)

    HDPE.jpg

The HDPE is a dream to work with, cuts super clean with a fine tooth blade on my circular saw. I used riv-nuts on the frame of the trailer and M8 button head bolts to secure the HDPE.

So the first camping trip happened with the trailer and new Odin Designs RTT and Foxwing awning. I'll just let the pictures do the talking :woot:

    Setup 1.jpg Setup 2.jpg Setup 3.jpg

Cant say how awesome it was. Already planning winter upgrades to the trailer, one that will happen first will be liner actuators, the wife said so, she wasn't to hip on helping me lift and lower the setup

How do you feel about the 1" tubing for the RTT rack and side support? What gauge? I'm trying to go light as possible but don't want any structural flexing happening while driving or sleeping in the tent.

The only thing that is 1" is the side of the trailer, the RTT supports are 1 1/4" that slide into 1 1/2" both are 11ga. When driving the RTT is down so there really is zero flex it very stable, when it is up it does not move much at all, once I get my actuators installed I think it will be even more solid than it already is. The one camping trip we got in this year three of us were in the tent, myself my wife and my son who is 12 but not a small kid (5'4" linebacker and tight end in football) almost no movement from the tent.

So far they have been great, not as fancy as the Timbrens but not the same price either. Yeah you could probably rent the saw from me :)
