8 months of cutting?!?!? That sounds like hell. August will be 5 months. That'll be about it.

Fuck that. Idk how y'all do it. And idk if it's just because I'm not that big yet, but I unintentionally cut 10 pounds in like a month and a half WHILE getting stronger and a little bit bigger.

My cut... IS OVER. Vacation begins tomorrow and LET THE BINGE BEGIN! I will likely need to do a mini-cut once I get back though. Cut from 2/1-7/19 and went from 221 to 183 lbs @ 6'2". Someday I will get big enough to be confident enough to step on stage. This fall/winter I will be strongly devoted to putting on size.

My plan is 4 months bulk, 6 months cut, 4 months bulk, 5 months cut and reevaluate then and see where I'm at. That puts me into spring of 2018 which is where I planned on being when I meet with the dr.s to talk surgery.

Scheduled to start in September with eating at maintenance from August 15th- sept 5 and figure out where maintenance is for me. Then add 100 calories a week for 4 weeks until in a 4-500 calories surplus. May spend longer at maintenance figuring it out.

But the goal is 2-3 lbs a month.

I've been cutting since March 15 and am not stopping until I hit 185, which I hope will be at the beginning of Sept. I'm hoping I'll be about 10% bf there. I started at like 209 and am at 194 as of this morning. After I get to 185, I wanna lean bulk up to around 200 over a loooong period of time.

I weighed in at 186 last night and felt like that, but I realized a corner of the scale was on a towel. I almost started crying there for a second.

Back to back leg day. Letting the thumb rest one more day. Iced it real good last night and the swelling is down this morning.

Yesterday I did wide-stanced things (back squats, goblet/sumo squats, lunges) today I did narrow-stanced things (front squats, gangster squats, leg ext). Hopefully tomorrow I can do some upper stuff.

I don't. That's one of the beauties of IIFYM: same macros and calories everyday.

What's the difference between the rope straight-arm push down and the rope straight-arm push down (low pull)? Might give this a whirl today.

EDIT: Nvm, I scrolled down and saw the explanation :anonymous:

I liked it pretty well. Might throw it in every couple weeks or so. I'm looking for some routines to get me out of the rut.

@dwalden2, that workout was pretty good. Only complaints is that there weren't enough middle back exercises and the rope pull superset was kinda awkward....it was like I was supersetting rope pulls with rope pulls. The lat and biceps part was really good though. Glad I did it.

For anyone who wants to do it, here's a simple breakdown:

    2 sets of wide-grip pull-ups to failure
lat-pulldown: 3 sets of 12 (increase weight each set)
superset: low cable row and bent-over dumbbell row: 3 sets of 12-15
superset: straight-arm rope pulldown and low straight-arm rope pulldown: 3 sets of 12-15
barbell curl: 3 sets of 21's (7 @ top to middle, 7 @ bottom to middle, 7 @ full ROM)
dumbbell spider curl: 3 sets of 12-15
reverse barbell curl: 3 sets of 12-15
alternating dumbbell curl: 1 run the rack set til failure
