What does a day at the track cost?

 

I've done a track day or two in the past with various autosports clubs. The entry fee is usually marginal but how much the day costs, depends on what you break.

 

I've done a number of track days with my bike. It's usually a thousand dollar weekend for me. Set of tires, track fees, staying somewhere, gas, it all adds up. And that's if you don't have a get off.

Using an antique for your DD during the summer:
Pros:
1) It's fun to drive
2) People wave at you with more than 1 finger
3) I like the noise it makes

Cons:
1) No A/C
2) MPG=nope.
3) Headers try to bake you at every stop light.

 

Depends, most organizations around here are about $240/day. You probably also need tires, oil, gas, and lodging depending. Luckily Thompson isn't far from me

 

Yikes, that is an expensive day even forgetting about lodging.

 

So Not much different from off-roading lol.

 

i don't really want to admit this, but i kinda like the scion im....

 

I like a hot hatch, but that car's all show and no go. It's only like 130HP or something, takes almost 10 seconds to hit 60.

 

haha i saw one out running, and it looked pretty cute. it comes in a hand shaker too

 

Even with you grabbing it by the knob it'll still take forever to hit 60. The GF's old Honda only had a 1.5, and even that thing was quicker to 60 than the iM.

tee hee. i like little hatches, i don't know why. i love the new fit

 

I like the small hatches too, but I like them to have at least some performance. Not crazy about the slow ones. At least the GF's old Honda felt like you were going fast, because the engine revved so happily (plus that 2-step v-tec would jump in and really kick you in the pants around 4500RPM)

 

yeah i'm sure every day driving it would suck. if i lived in boston or something i'd have an hrv or fit all day long

 

Now, if Toyota wanted to fit a TRD supercharger to that iM I bet it'd turn into a fun little car...
