Alright guys I bet there is a lot of threads about A/T tires, so I apologize in advanced!
But I'm in the market for some all terrain tires! Was looking at the Firestone DESTINATION A/T SPECIAL EDITION (CAMO) in P265/75R16. I have Yokohama Geolander A/T-S in LT265/75R16. Not a big fan of them, was looking for opinions on some good A/T tires!
    Thanks!

    Cooper at3, toyo at2, duratracs, bfg ko2.

Canadian tire has duratracs 25% off right now so I'm leaning towards them. But coopers are in for cheap as well. I like the snowflake rating of duratracs though.

I really like my P-rated A/T Michelins. Very quiet as highway tires, and really good traction in all situations.

I put on general grabber at2's about 3 months ago and love them. Very quite on the highway and great traction on the dirt.

I just bought a set of Toyo Open Country AT/2s about 5K miles ago. Love them. Quiet on the road and pretty damn smooth ride. Handled beautifully on some unpaved road a while back. I'd recommend.

Curious what you don't like about the geolanders? I've have them for 30k and they have been great. You're the first person I've seen complain about them.

Literally just finished typing this up for another thread...

I run the Cooper Discoverer ST/MAXX in 255/85R16 on stock rims. Icon shocks and OME Dakar leafs. My every day load is a topper, birch cabinets/platform, fullsize spare, 5 gallons water, 10 gallons fuel, hilift jack, shovel, bag full of hand tools, etc. I air them down all the time for sand and rocks. I have been all up and down the beaches of Texas. Most of the roads in Big Bend National Park. White Rim Trail, Imogene Pass, Engineer Pass, Cinnamon Pass, and many off road parks. I have been with many people who required tire changes and plugs. Never my Coopers. We have been running them on all 33 of my pickups at work, (F250 CC and 2500HD). None of which ever see pavement, just dirt, mud, and rocks. No failures.

Rocks. At 18 psi they don't squat all that much. Hardly at all really.

    Every day load. Full.

Sorry for the photo whoring. I just freaking love these tires! I have just over 22,000 miles on them and they are not yet half worn. Quiet as heck on the street also!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Really want 255/85 KM2's for mine but if I find a sweet deal on coopers I might pull the plug

Also, how was white rim trail in Moab?! Top on my list

On my second set of Falkens this time went with the new Wildpeak AT3W. Have only put 5,000 miles on so far but have worked great off road in the desert around where I live lots of sharp rocks loose dirt and sand especially when aired down. Good road manners too and quiet. Lower price that almost every other AT out there.

I ran Firestone Destination AT tires on my Jeep Cherokee (XJ) and they performed great. I'm currently running BFG AT KO2 tires on my Tacoma and I'd rate them a touch higher for road driving. I'd buy both tires again.

Not a big fan the ride quality! Don't get me wong they perform pretty good in mud and decent during wet conditions.
Just ordered some Firestone Destination A/T P265/75R16 Camo edition

I too have these tires. Awesome traction when aired down and quiet on the road.

    Check http://www.onlinetires.com/
I snagged them last November for $165.00 each.

    Good luck.

I have the Geolander H/T-s and it rides pretty nicely and looks like it will last a long time but I have to admit they are horrible in the snow compared to the Goodyear Wrangler SR/A I used to have on my Jeep Wrangler.

AT2's are one of the most under-rated tires for the price. Too bad they don't have 255/85r16 size
