    It would be possible with a winch or maybe Maxtrax. There are plenty of trees to winch off of along the trail.

    I did the trail in the rain with some friends 15 years ago. Stock Cherokee and Toyota pickup; no diff locks, no winch, and AT tires. Challenging, but no one got stuck. Snow would add an interesting factor.
