Just got my 5k miles service @4680 miles. I have similar issues with shifting as many of you have. I was told on Monday they just came out with the update for the transmission on the V6 they said the 4cyl has been out for a bit. So i just had that done as well. Only drove it a few miles back to work but it seems to be running way smoother and much more responsive!!

Dang....stage 7?!!! I'm still waiting for my stage 6.5's to come...lol. I am debating to have my stage 4's installed at the dealer so they warranty all areas of my truck still. They told me that's how it works... :/ any opinions?

The Toyota dealer down where I'm at didnt know icon even existed and said they only install a spacer lift and that was it. It doesn't really matter to me if I void the warranty on the suspension because if it breaks I'll just put something better on it, but I've never heard anyone destroying their icon suspension lol. The dealer also told me it would take a week to install if they attempted to do it because they don't know the kit and wanted to charge me $2500 for install and labor. I would recommend using a local Offroad shop, but if you don't feel comfortable the Toyota dealer is your safe bet

I don't believe the dealer would warranty any Icon products but they should still be responsible for other components as long your suspension hasn't proved to be the cause of damage.
My dealer tried to sell me a 3" spacer lift at purchase. I declined but specifically asked about their stance on warranty work of CV axles and other suspension components if I did my own suspension upgrades. The shop told me lifts under 3 inches shouldn't be any warranty problems. He did say they would still waranty suspension lifts over 3" as well as long as obvious damage hadn't been done due to the lift. You always have the mag moss argument but that could get expensive if they try to decline.
I vote install yourself and find a dealer that is mod friendly. It's allot easier than you think and you will save big $$$$. Go on YouTube and watch a couple of videos of coilover and UCA installs before you decide. Total chaos as a nice video.

Hey guys, I'm new to towing my own stuff. Towed plenty of stuff for my lawn service job before I joined the service, but never had to setup my own truck for towing, so all the terms are new to me.

I have the tow package on my truck, and I was to buy a ball, ball mount, and pin. Anyone want to shed some light on the specs I should be looking at when I go to purchase?

I appreciate any help, and thanks in advance!

What I did today: C17 vinyl on the rear window

I just think it is cool how Toyota makes the new 2016 rear modern disc brakes look like old 1960's drum brakes.

I never had any issues with reese brand hitch balls and hitches. Just get the right diameter ball and the right drop for leveling the trailer. Northern Tool has good equipment. Everything is based on what you are towing and weights. I always buy the pins made for pad locks.

You need to properly size the ball mount for your trailer. Mounts come in all different drop amounts depending on the vehicle / trailer hitch height. Tow package gives you a class IV hitch receiver. Look here at Draw-Tite for some details- http://www.draw-tite.com/products/ball-mounts/pswywwPu24IzVeVnxIf!KctcP|ta42On

The hitch ball is generally purchased separately and again sized for your trailer hitch.

Do you want a locking hitch pin? They make those as well. There are also locking trailer hitch pins too.

I have 4 different ball mounts with various ball sizes. Most of what I pull is a 2" or above ball size trailer hitch. Instead of multiple ball hitches, you could go with a universal like this- http://www.draw-tite.com/products/b...i-ball-mount/Ft6J97!qk62OLeHlbMK8aodBPbN21nS8

If you have more bad luck find your local Leonard dealer. Great quality boxes and very competitive pricing.

from personal experience toyota looks to see if its lifted and it automatically voids suspension warranty until part are removed. even then they not it in your cars service report and they can still claim no warranty as the lift may have caused it.

No. That is not a modification. If anything it is an upgraded maintenance item.

How hard is it to get multiple bikes in there with that set-up? I was thinking about getting a bed rack but I always drive to bike parks with friends so I'm just curious.

i would say it would void as it is not OEM installed part. the dealer may be cool and work on it but if the problem persists and they end up having to call toyota them selfs to help then toyota will be hands off i can guarantee it. toyota tells the shop foreman and master techs if its modified in any way shape or form they will not come out. it need to be totally stock
