i gotta say a lot of these ideas are great but they are far too domesticated. the neighbors started feeding wildlife about 5 years ago(dont even get me started on that topic) and their populations are absolutely out of control now. to the point where i feel like Moses parting the red sea every day walking to and from my truck through the flock. probably why i can also chase them down fairly easily. the times i chased them, they came right back as soon as i went inside. thought about "borrowing" a big outdoor cat, but they have no fear of another neighbors maine coon which i thought was a bobcat on more than one occasion

that was the original approach i took was to get the neighbors to stop feeding wildlife. they dont believe a turkey did the damage and think im just being a pain, but ive caught them at 2am feeding raccoon and skunks bread before and nobody seems to care in the least. not the condo association, not property management company, not police(only deal in dogs and cats i was told) or fish and game. im actually in a kinda tough predicament tbh, this is something ive been dealing with for a couple months

I knew a guy in town that shot groundhogs in his garden with .22 bb Rimfire Ammo. They barely make any noise. They are a little on the expensive side but so are these mods on new Tacoma's.

While I can sympathize, if you get caught killing a turkey out of season you're gonna be paying a huge fine. Courts don't fool around when it comes to the size of fines for killing an animal out of hunting season.

You'd get in more trouble for killing a turkey than you would if you punched the neighbours who are feeding the wildlife (I'm not suggesting that --- just emphasizing how severe of a penalty it would be).

if it were just my property i would in a heartbeat. shit id be showing off pics of the bastard laid out across my tailgate. but where they hang out is in the middle of a circle of buildings and cars. just cant do it. plus the risk of trouble is far too great.

and im well aware of the penalties. i know fish and game has more authority than about any other law enforcement agency. i know they would throw the book at me since ive already had these talks so i need to be careful. i even considered a bait throw net and trapping one but thats risky and nobody can tell me if its legal or not so ill stay away until its season this fall. even then unsure what i can do but we will see.

speaking of season, any new england turkey hunters want a very large bird, and a much smaller bounty, ill pay AND provide beer afterwards.

Who cares if it's legal or not?? Before I watched a turkey attack my truck I would drag out any gun I could get my hands on to kill him I don't care if it would be illegal. Thank god I live in the country where there aren't any restrictions.

Here in Pasadena we have wild peacocks that sometimes roam into the city from the arboretum. Its a law that you can't approach or harass them. They're aggressive assholes too.

Problem solved, suppressed AirForce Talon. Also, turkey have very poor sense of smell. So I'd guess the predator urine wouldn't be effective.

Well I agree that it's a stupid law I think most sane people would find another way to get rid of a turkey instead of having a firearms related misdemeanor on their record.

What's that old adage? "if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail"?

    Google fine for poaching turkey.

"A Michigan man who shot a turkey out of season was slapped with jail time, a fine and a loss of his hunting privileges for six years"

Sue the condo association .... OR Like I said shoot and be done with it. Tell Leo you did "their" job for them. You do know the male tom will attack you and/or children, safety first.
Quote "the big Tom was threatening those children so I took measure to protect the children".

The problem here is not "the big tom". If he's snuffed out, the Beta male will almost instantly become the aggressive one, and so forth and so on. I helped some people out in Texas by taking out a couple of Rio's. image.jpg
