I love the "clean air" fracking sticker... placed on a 1978 Toyota pick up shitting itself through the exhaust while hauling a 3000 lbs camper which means it's probably getting 8 mpg.

 

Those things are beasts, you have to try and get less then 15mpg.

 

Well, we were talking touristy (trap). Did you go at night or just during the day?

When I was like seven or nine was the first time we ever came out here. Big road trip, Grand Tetons, RMNP, the Springs, Royal Gorge. We did all those things mentioned so far, and that trip basically decided that I would eventually move out here. I only have the vaguest of recollections of any of those things, and aside from driving to the top of Pikes, I have not been back to any of them since that first trip because I pretty much know just how much of a tourist trap they are. But they're kinda things you have to do at least once. And the price wasn't quite so bad when I was a kid (even accounting for inflation, but then again, how much does it cost to go to a movie these days). I'm pretty sure it got bought out by some other company and really turned tourist trap since then, or expanded activity and programming beyond the climb the stairs and see them light the falls up all different colors at night. Much like my favorite TV shows as a kid, many things are best left as the memories rather than re-experienced. Unless of course you're inflicting them on a new generation.

I saw the antithesis of this in my neck of the woods (Green Valley Ranch) next to my park n ride this morning. Had things like "Secede!" and something about "no sodomy" written on it. I would have taken a picture, but I was, you know, driving.

 

Okay I don't get the logic. I posted couple of items on CL with my phone number listed. I get text message "is this item still for sale" along those lines. I respond: "yes", than I don't hear anything back. Are cell phone numbers sold in the black market or is there any other reasons these scums text?

Haha when I was trying to sell some sliders I had on CL, this guy kept on trying to give me pot for them, I kept telling him NO

If you get some time to kill go to the garden of the gods and walk around. Rudys won't be too impressive for bbq and Alabama. It's OK not amazing. I suggest a beer at the smiling toad brewery and see what food ttucks on on schedule
