I have to agree 100% with this... my tech couldnt find it in the computer initially, and stated "it's great you brought this or else it would be much harder to find."

Wondering the same thing. My pedal input is a little funky with some delayed lag and lurch. My vehicle is still under 1,000 miles so a I chalked it up to an ECU learning curve (which may still be the case).

That's what the earlier 4 cyl. TSB addressed.

I had my software update done yesterday. I scheduled a service for transmission issues regarding the gear hunting, and mentioned nothing of the TSB. Two hours later I was done and the advisor explained to me that a software update was performed on the truck. He stated that nothing was wrong mechanically with my Tacoma and that the update would help resolve my concerns. I've driven the truck over 150 miles and I feel it performs better. The gear shifting is smoother and the truck accelerates better. I don't have to step into the gas pedal as much. MPG also increased by 2. It feels different, in a good way to me. I don't have the R-D/P-D shifting and over-drive issues that others have experienced, so I couldn't tell you if the update fixed those as well. It's amazing that a software upgrade can make such a difference. Thanks Toyota. No regrets here.

Just got home after the TSB update. Accelerator feels more responsive, it holds a gear better and no more hopping from 6th to 4th to get over a hill. Yes, it downshifted up the hill but it's steep and was expected. They reset the adaptive transmission and it has to relearn my driving habits now.

Also, the dealership said they're doing an ATF check when Tacomas come in for the TSB. Not required by Toyota, but they've had some that were low. Mine wasn't, no fluid necessary.

Edit - I also haven't noticed the P-D or P-R "jump" I had gotten before the update.

UPDATE-DOWNSIDE TO TSB-POOR FUEL ECONOMY because it is so much more responsive I cannot keep my damn foot off of the gas. Sooooooooooooo much better than the previous 6 months. Was passing cars left and right on the interstate just because I can.

I only see 2 codes. Does this mean only 2 out of 3 issues were addressed?
Anyone else's sticker only have 2 codes?

    Got mine done today.

Drove about 50 miles on my way home.

I noticed the pedal response was much better.

The MPG's (according to the meter on the gauge cluster) were better while cruising at any speed. Before I had a sweet spot at 60 MPH and again at 75 MPH.

    Cruise control is usable!

No low fluid/I never noticed the R-D delay.

I had a dealer in Western NY today tell me this wasn't released yet to my area.....just going back a few pages, I'm seeing people all over the US who have had this done....

Without reading all 52 pages, is that total BS? or is there really some areas of the country where this isn't available yet?

OMG, after 4 long hours of waiting for my truck to get the 35 minute flash to the transmission. I go up to my SA and ask him what's up? And I could tell by the way he looked at me that nothing had been done. ( I know I should have said something before but I didn't want to be that guy) so he said he was sorry and I told him to get my truck. I got the F---- out of there. I got a call from the service manager 30 minutes later , he apologized and promised to make it right. I'm going back tomorrow and getting a loner and we will try again.

If the SM had not called and gave me a loner I wouldn't have. I had the Yelp app up and was typing. He calmed me down and unless I want to drive 30 more miles I have to give them another chance.

My TSB from earlier today's ECU upgrade in Port Moody BC these guys were awesome. Looks they referenced my last visit TSB number to the printout I showed them from the first post by the op. Thanks again!
Not sure what some of the numbers were but a few matches the TSB found in this thread.

Nice work ubertoyota. Much nicer to drive isn't it? I'm glad other Canadians are finally getting it as well.
