I am having trouble fixing a bad jerking problem with my son's 99 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 3.4L truck. I have changed the plugs, plug wires, ignition coils, fuel filter, clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder and PVC. The clutch was changed 3 years ago. Not sure what to look at next other than the throttle body cleaning. I took it to the dealer and they could not find any codes or had any idea what was causing the jerking problem. Any idea on what to look for next?

    Thanks

My 97 had a jerk/stuttering issue. If what you're describing is the same thing the fix was the throttle position sensor.

The jerking starts at all speeds from 1st to 5th gear. It appears to be a fuel related issue as the truck feels sluggish with poor fuel economy. I cleaned the Idle Control Valve and throttle body yesterday which seemed to help. I will replace the throttle position sensor and see if that helps as well.
